L'inventore del prototipo
dell'avanguardia storica nasce ad Alessandria d'Egitto, trasferendosi
a Parigi, a Genova, a Milano.
L'11 febbraio 1909 Marinetti lancia il Manifesto
del Futurismo dalla prima pagina di "Le Figaro" di
Parigi.
Scrittore e poeta cosmopolita formatosi alla scuola romantica e simbolista,
inventore della poesia 'parolibera', personaggio polemico, mecenate, animatore
instancabile e leader prestigioso del Movimento, è ispiratore e
firmatario di numerosi manifesti che toccano tutti i settori delle arti,
dalla pittura murale, alla musica, alla cucina, alla fotografia, fino
alla architettura, con particolare attenzione e sensibilità per
i nuovi mezzi di comunicazione, quali la radio e l'aeroplano.
Diviene Accademico d'Italia nel 1929; nel 1934 firma il Manifesto
futurista della architettura aerea con Mazzoni e Somenzi.

RITRATTO DI MARINETTI (1916) ff Marinetti,
the inventor of Futurism, which was the original prototype of all the
historical avant-gardes, was born in Alexandria, Egypt and later moved
first to Paris, then to Genoa and then Milan.
He launched the Manifesto
of Futurism
on
the front page of the Parisian "Le Figaro" on 11 February 1909.
A writer and poet whose formation had been in the romantic and symbolist
school, he was the inventor of 'parolibera' (free verse) cosmopolitan
in his outlook, a polemicist, a patron of the arts, the tireless animator
and prestigious leader of the Futurist movement, he was the inspiration
for, and one of the signatories to numerous manifestos that affected every
sector of the arts from wall painting to music, from cuisine to photography
and architecture, and had a particular regard and sensibility for the
new means of mass communication such as the radio and the aeroplane.
In 1929 he was made a member of the Italian Academy and in 1934 with Mazzoni
and Somenzi was a co-signatory of the Futurist Manifesto of Aerial Architecture .
