La concezione architettonica futurista si può riassumere con due termini espressivi lirismo e dinamismo, che hanno caratterizzato l'avvento dell'estetica futurista.
La visione lirica dell'idea architettonica, trova nel dinamismo plastico, l'equivalente stilistico.
La vita è evoluzione, movimento, l'arte futurista è lo stile del movimento, l'architettura futurista è quindi lo stile del movimento materiato nello spazio.
Di conseguenza l'architettura futurista non va guardata solamente come un ulteriore sviluppo dell'evoluzione dell'estetica dell'architettura, verso un adattamento puramente stilistico, quanto ad una visione spirituale del mondo moderno e delle nuove forze che in esso si scatenano in potenza.
Il dominio dell'aria e della velocità hanno arricchito la nostra sensibilità di nuovi valori emotivi, di nuove possibilità estetiche.
Il regno della macchina ci ha spalancato nuovi orizzonti stilistici, poichè ignoti paesaggi meccanici si sono dischiusi ai nostri occhi, scrutatori dell'al di là, abbeverati alle vive fonti dell'infinito.
The architectural conception of Futurism can be summarised in two expressive terms that marked the arrival of Futurist aesthetics: lyricism and dynamism.
The lyrical vision of this architectural idea finds its stylistic equivalent in plastic dynamism.
Life is evolution and movement.
Futurist art is the expression of movement. Futurist architecture is therefore movement materialising in space.
That is why Futurist architecture must not be considered as simply a new development that denotes the evolution of architectural aesthetics towards some further merely stylistic readaptation. It is far more than that.
It is a spiritual vision of the modern world and the new forces that have unleashed their power.
Our domination of air and speed have enriched our sensibility with new emotions and new aesthetic possibilities.
Before our very eyes the world of the machine has flung open completely new stylistic horizons.
We gaze far ahead, drinking from the inexhausible sources of the timeless, as unimaginable landscapes of the machine are revealed.
