L'elenco della architettura realmente edificata da architetti futuristi è in realtà piuttosto esiguo, a dispetto della loro rumorosa presenza sulla scena critica nazionale.
L'adesione al futurismo - ove avviene - si mantiene su posizioni di natura piuttosto ideale che concreta, ed i vari Andreoni, Vinaccia ecc. pur particolarmente attivi e attenti a livello progettuale, in realtà mancano di autentica personalità creativa.
In the architecture magazines published by the Futurists (such as "Futurismo-Sant'Elia", "Noi", "La Città Futurista" etc.) we often find a somewhat free and easy appropriation of projects designed by Italian and foreign architects forcibly labelled "Futurist" by virtue of a supposed
convergence of theoretical positions.
In reality the list of architectural works that were actually built by Futurist architects is rather short, despite their noisy presence on the national critical scene.
The adhesion by architects to Futurism - when it did happen - was based more on idealism than on reality and the various Andreonis, Vinaccias etc. who took this approach were active and attentive at the conceptual stage but in their completed work they were lacking in any authentically creative ability.
